Database and rosters

We have been working hard on compiling a database of all OUIHC and OUWIHC alumni, but our efforts are far from complete.  If you have not been receiving mailings from us, this must be because we unfortunately do not have your up-to-date contact information.  If you would like to receive our Alumni Newsletter, please get in touch with the alumni officer at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We would also wish to publish all our past rosters on our website.  If you have no objection to us including your name in the roster(s), please let the alumni officer know.

Alumni Newsletter

We have launched our bi-annual Alumni Newsletter!  It reports on match results and club news, as well as on events and other information relevant in particular to the club alumni.  If you have not received a copy of the first issue of the newsletter, you can read it here.

VM weekend events

The men’s alumni are organising an Old Blues Hockey Tour this year, where they will be playing in old varsity venues in Central Europe during the week leading up to the Varsity weekend.  Maybe one year we will be organised enough for something similar.  A return to Charleville, the site of many hockey tournaments the team took part in during the 1990s has already been suggested...  If this is something you would be interested in organising, please get in touch with the alumni officer to co-ordinate!

In addition to encouraging alumni to attend the 2010 Varsity matches (men 27 Feb at 4.30 pm; Vikings 28 Feb at 6.30 pm; and most importantly, women 28 Feb at 4.30 pm) held in Oxford this year, a banquet for OUIHC and OUWIHC alumni is organised together with CUIHC on 26 Feb at St Cross College.  The event begins with a pre-dinner drinks reception at 6.30 pm.  Tickets cost £55 each.  The banquet is organised by the club historian Michael “Moose” Talbot.  Please get in touch with him ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
